2021 Planning

Ordered some seeds today and worked on some planning. We will be putting in at least one new bed with the plan to remove the “upper” beds when we can. (=

Winter sowing

I cut the top off a couple of juice jugs, added some drainage and soil and water and onion seeds. Hopefully i get some .

I also moved a couple of the Stunted greens into season starters to see if that does anything.

In the last week everything else died, so we cleaned up today. We got no grapes this year. Hm. I planted more garlic from the grange, and a few bits from our own stash because the deerfield that territorial sent me to replace the bad batch was even worse

Have a bed and a half of garlic now. (The second bed is nootka rose then assortedhardneck)

Basil taste test

They are all growing pretty well- taste test puts Everleaf Emerald at the top, followed by Sweet. The dolce fresca is oddly minty/bubble gummy

Garlic

Well, had to ditch that layout because the Duganski garlic was in REALLY bad shape.

I’ve got an email into the seed company, but in the meantime I planted all the Nookta rose (2 heads) all the Susanville (8 oz- about 4 heads worth?) and all the music (although they were very big cloves, so there’s less of that.) There’s this much left in the bed
