I got the first snap pea a couple of weeks ago, and a few more today. Some onions are bolting, beans are coming up, most of the seedlings are flourishing. Scapes are coming soon!

Garlic
Planted garlic in South D and one of the new beds. Order from shed to neighbor – Music (HN), Italian Late, silver and white, Nootka Rose, Duganski (HN)
Left some carrot starts in middle of South D. Maybe winter carrots?
Braidin’ Day
Yesterday was garlic cleaning day. It looks good!
Garlic harvest and veggies
Pulled the garlic and onions, and got some squash the first 2 runner beans and one delicious
Sungold tomato
The music and nootka rose (from the grange) garlic was the winner this year. The susanville was a total dud.
I also moved two volunteer tomatillos onto west c with the plum tomato.
Other updates
Irritating Susanville
The susanville garlic did absolutely nothing. That part of the bed is empty. I’m reconsidering the wisdom of ordering from Territorial Seed.

Planting in the gloom today- west c
Shed to maple- music (hn), duganski (hn), susanville (sn), nootka rose (sn, from grange)
Well, had to ditch that layout because the Duganski garlic was in REALLY bad shape.
I’ve got an email into the seed company, but in the meantime I planted all the Nookta rose (2 heads) all the Susanville (8 oz- about 4 heads worth?) and all the music (although they were very big cloves, so there’s less of that.) There’s this much left in the bed
P got the Nootka rose at the Grange, so maybe I’ll swing by there and grab a few more heads of something. Should I do just one bed this year?
Pulling garlic and onions
Got a pretty good haul of onions and garlic today. That’s prolly about half- the other half is still in the ground. GOOD year for this stuff! Many onions bolted, but the remaining ones are big and beautiful
The garlic in the west bed was best- the middle variety in the south bed was good too- I’m a little disappointed with the ones on the sides (I’ll edit to add variety names)
Also got a couple of dinky novas, raspberries, garlic scapes, and some squash
Oh, and yellow beans!
Looks like something (deer?) helped itself to some green bean and raspberry leaves
Oh, and a couple of tomatillo and one

I think I missed a day
Green Beans out our ears. I finally pulled the last of the start onions and garlic, braids coming soon. Still got some berries- and more tomatoes and tomatillos. And carrots and beets
I’m loving the carrot top “pestos” with onions, garlic, whatever green herb (basil, cilantro, oregano) and an acid (red wine vinegar, citrus). P put it on pizzas tonight.
